DOME & DOME Counts — Privacy Policy
Effective September 22, 2026 · Tidal Exploration, LLC
This policy covers both mobile apps published by Tidal Exploration, LLC ("we", "us"):
- DOME the reporting app — sales, labor, loss, guest feedback and menu performance for restaurant operations teams.
- DOME Counts the floor app — bar inventory counting, audits and purchasing.
Both are available only to employees of licensed restaurant operators who have been issued a DOME account. Neither app offers public sign-up. Where something applies to only one app, it is marked with that app's tag.
What we collect
- Account information — your work email address, name (if set on your account), and a unique account identifier. Accounts are created by your employer's DOME administrator.
- Technical data — the app version and device type sent with API requests, used to serve the request and diagnose failures. No advertising identifier, location, contacts or photos are read by either app.
- DOME Counts Inventory data you enter — bottle and case counts, barcode assignments, hot-list items and purchasing entries, each tagged with your account and the store you are counting. This is business data belonging to your employer.
- DOME Workflow records — labor forecast approvals and declines, any note you attach to them, and which alerts you have marked as read. These are kept as a business record for your employer.
- DOME Notification registration — if you enable notifications, a device token so approval alerts can reach your device. It identifies the device, not you personally, and is removed when you sign out or turn notifications off.
Usage and service analytics
To operate these apps, keep them secure and support them, we record information about how the service is used. This is internal operational data. It is never sold, never shared with advertisers or data brokers, and never combined with data from other companies.
- Account activity — sign-in events, the account used, and the stores that account is permitted to see, retained for security and audit purposes.
- DOME Report and question activity — when you run a report in DOME Spark or ask a question in DOMAI, we record the account that asked, the request itself including the text you typed, the database query it produced, and whether it succeeded. This is what lets us diagnose failures, detect misuse and improve the accuracy of answers. Requests are recorded whether or not they return a result.
- Error and performance records — failed requests and their timings, so problems can be found and fixed.
What neither app does
Neither app contains third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software of any kind. No advertising identifier is read. No data is transmitted to any party other than the DOME service itself. We do not sell personal information, do not use it for advertising, and do not track you across other apps or websites.
Camera and barcode scanning DOME Counts
DOME Counts can use the camera to read barcodes on bottles and cases. Camera video is processed on the device only to decode the barcode and is never stored, uploaded or shared. You can decline camera access and count manually or with a Bluetooth scanner. DOME does not use the camera.
Guest reviews shown in DOME DOME
DOME displays guest feedback and public reviews about your employer's venues, drawn from your employer's survey provider and from public review platforms where their venues are listed. That content is written by guests and belongs to the platforms and guests who created it. It is shown to your employer's authorized staff as part of their own operational reporting and is not republished by us anywhere else.
How we use it
- To sign you in and show only the stores your account is authorized for.
- To record counts, approvals and operational activity for your employer's reporting and cost analysis.
- To send notifications you have asked for.
- To keep the service secure, diagnose failures and improve accuracy.
Who can see it, and whose data it is
DOME is licensed to your employer, and the operational data in it — including the records above — belongs to that organization. Your activity is visible to your employer's authorized managers and administrators within DOME. Your employer determines who has access and how long records are retained.
Requests to access, correct or delete your records should go to your employer's DOME administrator, who controls that data. We will assist them with any such request.
Data is stored on servers operated by Tidal Exploration, LLC in the United States. Sign-in is provided by Amazon Cognito (Amazon Web Services), which processes your email address and credentials to verify your identity. We do not share personal information with any other third party except as required by law.
Retention
Operational records — counts, approvals, reports and activity logs — are retained for as long as your employer's DOME license is active, as part of their business records. Account information is removed when your employer's administrator deactivates your account. You may also request removal of your account at the address below.
Security
All traffic between the apps and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Sign-in uses Amazon Cognito with multi-factor authentication where enabled by your employer. Access to data is restricted by account role and store assignment: each account can reach only the venues it has been granted.
Children
Both apps are workplace tools and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
